Our Staff

Victoria Whitby has been the Head of school at Media Children's House for the past 26 years. She is dedicated to the continued success of her school and remains in our Tulip Room, a primary classroom, as a lead guide.  Vicki is passionate about the Montessori method and continues to maintain a child-centered learning environment that is both fun and educational for all of our students.  Victoria earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Neumann University. She also has her Montessori Primary Certification.

Anne Collins is our parent communications liaison and music teacher. She began working as a lead guide in the Tulip room in 2004 and transitioned into the office in 2008.  She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Integrative Arts from Pennsylvania State University, University Park and has her Montessori primary certification. Anne assists Victoria in the office, administrates our parent communications portal, and also teaches our weekly music lessons.

Renee Cape is the lead guide in our Buttercup Room. She began her career at Media Children’s House as a substitute teacher in 2014.  After seeing what an amazing teacher she is, we decided to hire her as a full-time Montessori guide.  Renee brings 15 years of teaching experience in various capacities to MCH.  She received her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from West Chester University.

Renee Cape is the lead guide in our Buttercup Room. Holly Ouimette is a lead guide in the Rose Room.   Ms. Holly earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State, Brandywine Campus. She has been working with children between the ages of 18 months and three years old since 2001.  She is extremely enthusiastic and passionate about working with the youngest members of the school community.

Cody Wasco is new to MCH this year! We are so excited to have her working alongside Vicki and Tina in our Tulip Room. Cody graduated summa cum laude from University of Albany, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Education. Cody has over ten years of experience in childcare, working first as a kindergarten enrichment teacher and most recently as a youth athletic director. In addition to working at MCH, she teaches in a Montessori Sunday School. Cody is extremely passionate about athletics and is planning some awesome physical education lessons for our students!

Natasha Esguerra is an MCH Parent who has been taking photographs of our school events for the past 2 years. She earned her bachelor's degree from Princeton University in 2005. Natasha owns her own photography business (www.natashaesguerra.com) and photographs families, headshots, and events. She was behind the revamp of MCH’s website last year and now is helping to streamline our office operations. We are happy to have her on board!

Melanie Bascelli has been teaching at Media Children's House for 21 years. She began her journey here as a primary teacher and then spent the next 10 years working with the elementary students. Melanie transitioned into the Rose Room, one of our Young Community classrooms, in 2012. Melanie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Neumann University. She has her Montessori certification in primary, lower elementary, and upper elementary. Melanie is also the Education Director at MCH and strives to guide her colleagues to create a model Montessori environment.

Rebecca Mucklow is the lead guide in the Sunflower Room. She began her career at MCH in 2015 as a part-time teacher in both the Sunflower and Tulip Rooms.  Rebecca earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Drexel University and her Master’s Degree in educational leadership from Neumann University. Prior to working at MCH, Rebecca taught third, fourth, and fifth grades and worked as an assistant director in the admissions office at Drexel University.

Tina Hall-Cubbage is a co-teacher in our Tulip Room. Ms. Tina earned her associates degree in early childhood education at The Community College of Philadelphia. She began her career in early childhood in 1999 and has been working at Media Children’s House since 2005. The children thoroughly enjoy Ms. Tina’s exciting, in depth lessons in both science and cultural studies. Her love for these subjects is evident and contagious.

Dorianne Dougherty is a co-teacher in our Sunflower Room. She started her time at Media Children’s House as a student teacher in 1995. She was then hired as an assistant in our primary program in 2000.   She also worked as a lead teacher at The Children’s House Montessori School in Wilmington, Delaware for ten years before returning to MCH in 2016. Ms. Dorianne earned her associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Delaware County Community College and has her Montessori Primary certification.

Dorianne Dougherty is a co-teacher in our Sunflower Room. She started her time at Media Children’s House as a student teacher in 1995. She was then hired as an assistant in our primary program in 2000.   She also worked as a lead teacher at The Children’s House Montessori School in Wilmington, Delaware for ten years before returning to MCH in 2016. Ms. Dorianne earned her associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Delaware County Community College and has her Montessori Primary certification.

Bridget Collins is also new to MCH this year! We are thrilled to have her working with Renee in our Buttercup Room. She has over eight years of experience working with children. She began her career in caregiving working as a camp counselor for United Cerebral Palsy of Delaware and later transitioned into her most recent role as a preschool and pre-k teacher. Bridget graduated magna cum laude from Neumann University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Wilmington University. She has a contagious passion for science, spirituality, and nature and is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish. She is excited to teach our Spanish lessons this year!
